Journal of Science Policy & Governance (JSPG) is an interdisciplinary
publication managed by a volunteer staff and an editorial board
comprised of graduate students,
policy fellows and young scholars from across the U.S. and around the
JSPG publishes high quality articles covering the widest range of
science and technology policy
topics that have been authored by students, policy fellows or interns,
young scholars and recent
graduates of all academic and professional backgrounds.
Submissions may range from 1500 word op-eds to 35 page policy
assessments and address a
variety of issues including, but not limited to, health, climate, the
environment, space, energy,
innovation, technology, competitiveness, STEM education, defense and
JSPG's readership is comprised of, both, scholarly and professional
audiences in science and
technology policy and related fields. Papers are published in an
open-access format and actively
promoted via outreach and social media.
The Journal is also a member of the Engaging Scientists & Engineers
in Policy (ESEP)
and helps curate the ESEP jobs board of career opportunities in S&T Policy
By publishing in JSPG and/or serving on the editorial board, students
and young people can
bolster their S&T policy credentials while contributing to current
JSPG’s 2017 submission deadlines are May 19, 2017 and November 17,
